Polar integration for Home Assistant

This a custom component for Home Assistant. The polar integration allows you to get information from Polar.

You need to create a Client in Polar Access Link and set in Authorization redirect URLs:

  • https://your_external_access_to_ha
  • https://your_external_access_to_ha/api/polar_auth (selected)

Installation

HACS

HACS > Integrations > Explore & Add Repositories > Polar > Install this repository

Manually

Copy the custom_components/polar folder into the config folder.

Configuration

To add the Polar integration to your installation, go to Configuration >> Integrations in the UI, click the button with + sign and from the list of integrations select Polar.

Fields

  • Client ID and Client secret: get credentials grom Polar Access Link.
  • Scan Interval interval in minutes between two scan to Polar API (default: 30)
  • URL: URL used to access to your Home-Assistant (default: your external or internal URL if configured in HA settings)

Device class None

Hello,

The integration seem to generate a warning in the logs:

Sensor sensor.cinghialino_last_exercise has device class None, state class measurement and unit None thus indicating it has a numeric value; however, it has the non-numeric value: 2023-02-28T15:58:45 (<class 'str'>); Please update your configuration if your entity is manually configured, otherwise report it to the custom integration author.

maybe it needs to be revised.

Sensors unavailable

Good afternoon everyone,

I installed this custom component and created the client ID and client secret.
Although they were accepted by the integration, the only sensor that is not "unavailable" is the sensor "weight".
All other sensors remain unavailable.
Is there some kind of step that I am missing?

Redirection problem 

          The webpage return me:

¡VAYA! ALGO FUE MAL. INTÉNTALO DE NUEVO MÁS TARDE.

I completed client id, password ... and when I was redirected to Polar Web for confirm in HA ....¡VAYA! ALGO FUE MAL. INTÉNTALO DE NUEVO MÁS TARDE.

Hi,
you would be the greatest king if it worked again after all this time!
But after the add integration- client ID and secret, it is shows the polar website with "oops something went wrong" text...
Sorry, for me it is not working...
are you sure the format of redirect url is:
https://myexternalaccess/api/polar_auth
