This repository serves as a mandatory assignment required by Week 4 in the course 'Getting and Cleaning Data' which is a part of the Data Science Specialization Track on Coursera.

The purpose of this project is to demonstrate the ability to collect, work with, and clean a data set. The goal is to prepare a tidy data that can be used for later analysis.

1. Codebook.md provides descriptions of the variables, the data, and transformations that have been carried out on the data

2. README.md provides a brief overview of this repository

3. 'run_analysis.R' is the R script that describes the steps that are carried out to meet the Assignment goals

4. 'tidydata.txt' is the tidy data set with the average of each variable for each activity and each subject, as per the Assignment goals.
