I install the runtime 3.1.10 what is needed, but every time I wanna install the AM-Downloader it tells me to install the runtime, click on yes only opens the download page and click on no exits the installer and nothing happens?

Please consider creating a portable version.

i was looking desperately for some good download manager... although idm* is excellent, but i decided to abandon it bcz it does something to my proxies(bcz of the message i get after uninstalling it "pls reboot or internet wont work properly")
i don't like any app(and most other users) that indicates that it did "something" that might hamper with the working of the internal components/functions of windows os

WHAT AM I ASKING FOR?
i am not asking you to "do not include any advanced features and keep it simple"
i am saying all that is "please always give us a choice",,, i don't want any "forced" ....chrome integration(forced..as in case of idm... it installs automatically... i hate that)

and pls keep this app as lite as possible(just like another excellent app Picotorrent, it looks really nice and clean, i wonder if you can take inspiration from that .. it is on github ..take a look Picotorrent at github )...

as all the other download managers(exclude idm) are above ~70 Mb..
i am like "maeen ,, i just asked for the resumable download capability , in a sophisticated UI.. the heck are you packing in the 80MB app(malware?)

you would be getting a lots of suggestions regarding improvement of your app😊 from me

*i mentioned the idm story , bcz i am hinting something about some things that you shall avoid

Would it be possible to provide HTTP Basic credentials for a set of files? I have an HTTP CDN that requires I authenticate and would love to use AM-Downloader to manage downloads from the CDN.

i tried entering a youtube url ... the app closed with no error message

if url ends with params, like:

example.com/file.txt?param=smth

app crashes

Lovely app, it works great and has a minimal footprint. I have one suggestion regarding the UI, mainly Dark Mode. I am no C# dev sadly, that's why I did not send a PR, but would love to see this feature.

Thanks for your project. Very nicely done.
It would be cool if you could integrate with this c# library to download Youtube videos as well:

There may be some difficulty in the code, since a Youtube download could contain 2 files - audio & video.
You could restrict downloads to a single file (only muxed streams or only audio), or else make other changes to the code.

The YoutubeDownloader does work ok, but it does not allow to resume downloads, and does not give as much control as AM-Downloader.

I'm curious what are your thoughts?

Thank you for this great app. I have a suggestion for the next feature.
If possible to recognize dragging and dropping URLs into the application. It will make starting downloads much faster than copying and pasting.
