python-dev-bootstrap's Issues

Problem installing PyQT

...When I try to do the command "vagrant up" I receive this error:

There are errors in the configuration of this machine. Please fix
the following errors and try again:

vm:

  • The host path of the shared folder is missing: ~/Development/Projects

puppet provisioner:

  • The configured module path doesn't exist: c:/Users/m.lopes/Documents/Vagrant/p
    ython-dev-bootstrap/modules

Requirements Missing From Documentation

Upon downloading and doing a 'vagrant up', it is discovered that the Vagrantfile requires the following to be created:

  • ~/Development/Projects directories
    • Due to the above being an NFS mount, the NFS service needs to be running on the machine.
  • python-dev-bootstrap/modules directory

These should probably be added to the documentation README.md

vagrant up failed

Update Documentation With Necessary Bits

As a part of the part of the downloaded setup, using it the way you have configured, there are a couple of things to note that need to be documented:

  1. You need to create the directories necessary for the NFS mounts by the VM:
    mkdir -p Development/Projects modules
  2. You need to have nfsd running for 'vagrant up' to be successful
    Centos: 'service nfs start'
    Ubuntu: '/etc/init.d/nfs start'

Vagrent up fails: Apparently puppet is not installed or not on the path

Here's what I get upon vagrant up:
$ vagrant up

The puppet binary appears not to be in the PATH of the guest. This
could be because the PATH is not properly setup or perhaps Puppet is not
installed on this guest. Puppet provisioning can not continue without
Puppet properly installed.

BTW I had to create an (empty) modules directory, since I got an error complaining it was not available.

can't get this running under OSX 10.7.2

Hi! This looks like a really promising project. Sadly, I can't get it working, even though I tried following your instructions.

In the small window that pops up I write startx, and I get a message about 'startx' not being installed and that I can install it by typing sudo apt-get isntall xinit.

Maybe you can give me some pointers by looking at the output from my console?
