antergos-packages's Issues

Plymouth crashes: invalid opcode

After trying out plymouth I get this error,

traps: plymouthd[195] trap invalid opcode ip:7fa80c3f85d2 sp:7ffe0f9fd7b0 error:0 in libply.so.4.0.0[7fa80c3ea000+17000]

I don't have this problem when building plymouth from the AUR.

Unreadable button with Numix Frost

Hi guys,

Thanks a lot for Numix Frost. This is a wonderful theme!

One small issue. The blue confirmation button is hardly readable. See the following screenshot:

Anything you can do about this?

Thanks ahead!

zfs does not install correctly

I get this message when installing (pacman -S zfs)
I'll check it when I have the time.

Firefox-beta is broken now

~ » firefox-beta
XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /opt/firefox-beta-46.0b1/libmozgtk.so:
libgtk-3.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have gtk3 installed. The AUR package firefox-beta-bin works fine.

Update manager displays wrong characters

Any time I need to authenticate for the update manager, it displays an "a with an accent over it" character instead of the dots that would normally appear in a password prompt.

No wifi once installed

Hello,

I installed AntergOS for the second time on a second computer and I have the same issue. The wifi works fine when I use the liveCD, but once it is installed I don't get to connect anymore. I can't even choose or see the differents networks. I installed it with cinnamon.

Thanks in advance,

Matthieu526

Octopi

Can be builded Octopi in antergos repo? I know, it is in AUR but because of compilation against QT5 are broken tray icons.you can compile it against QT4 in your repo and make it working at least for Antergos users :-)

Plymouth in the antergos repository is broken

When booting with the plymouth version in the antergos repo, instead of working it will show "Illegal instruction" twice and not work at all.

Solution: Use the plymouth package from AUR instead and re-run mkinitcpio. This fixes the issue.

n1-package broken depend

Nylas N1 not working without gnome-keyring.
LOG:
Gkr-Message: secret service operation failed: The name org.freedesktop.secrets was not provided by any .service files
Please add gnome-keyring to depend.

Terminix package issues

I'm the developer of terminix and I have a user reporting an issue (gnunn1/tilix#125) with the antergos package for terminix. Looking at the package, it appears you are shipping an out-dated copy of com.gexperts.Terminix.gschema.xml for some reason?

Please use the com.gexperts.Terminix.gschema.xml that is included in the release package instead of adding your own, this way it will always be up to date.

"Maximum File Size Exceeded"

I am unable to update Pamac as of today. Every download attempt results in the "Maximum file size exceeded" error message. What's worse, is that I do not recall installing Pamac, and even worse than that, Pamac appears to be an Antergos default (as other users on IRC and the Forums are reporting this blocking fresh installs).

sudo pacman -Syy and sudo pacman -Syyu did not fix the issue.

I was able to uninstall it and be on my way, but I'm not sure how I'd handle this on a fresh install.

broadcom-wl -> dkms

Reminding myself to look into the possibility of packaging broadcom-wl in a way that it doesn't require a rebuild with every new kernel update.

Pacman cannot update due to dependency issues with light-locker-settings and lightdm-webkit2-greeter

Description:
Cannot perform sync-refresh-update due to dependency issues with light-locker-settings and lightdm-webkit2-greeter

Additional info:
Antergos Linux release 2015.08 (ISO-Rolling)

Pacman v5.0.1 - libalpm v10.0.1

  • Pacman error message:
error: failed to prepare transction (could not satisfy dependencies)
    :: light-locker-settings: installing python-gobject (3.20.0-1) breaks dependency 'python-gobject<3.20'
    :: lightdm-webkit2-greeter: installing webkit2gtk (2.12.0-2) breaks dependency 'webkit2gtk<2.12'
    :: lightdm-webkit2-greeter: installing gtk3 (3.20.2-1) breaks dependency 'gtk3<3.20'

Steps to reproduce:
sudo pacman -Syu

ZFS breaks on kernel upgrades.

The problem is documented here.

I ran into this myself, the solution seemed be to just run "mkinitcpio -p linux" again after the kernel was upgraded, so i'm guessing it's just some kind of out of order stuff with the dkms shennanigans?

Mounting the zpool in a livecd, Installing the kernel image and headers fresh did give me errors about zfs not being found, but running "mkinitcpio -p linux" afterwards definitely fixed it, though.

I did also see the errors saying that "Your kernel headers for kernel 4.4.5-1-ARCH cannot be found at /usr/lib/modules/4.4.5-1-ARCH/build or /usr/lib/modules/4.4.5-1-ARCH/source." which could be another cause, but the issue lies within the installation/upgrade process somewhere as, like i said, running mkinitcpio worked just fine.

Error downloading keyring

When I try to install few packages(few fonts), I bump into this error:

(1/1) checking keys in keyring [----------------------] 100%
downloading required keys...
error: key "CDBD406AA1AA7A1D" could not be looked up remotely
error: required key missing from keyring
error: failed to commit transaction (unexpected error)
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

LightDM Update

It looks like the most recent update breaks LightDM. LightDM.service fails to start after replacing lightdm-webkit-greeter with lightdm-webkit2-greeter.

List packages for KDE

Why on KDE desktop installed this packages as default?
lightdm - but for KDE recommends SDDM. Why not use SDDM?
pamac - Pamac GTK. But KDE use almost Qt-apps. Why not Octopi?
kipi-plugins - this really not needed package as default!

Jockey not in actual repos and unresolved dependencies

The package for Jockey is here, but not in the current Antergos repos. This is a minor issue, but when you attempt to install it using the PKGBUILD file it is impossible to download the python2-xkit package, as it is not in the Arch, or Antergos repos or the AUR. As someone who has spent the last 2 days trying to get a driver to work, Jockey would be a welcome help.

[dash-to-dock] Extension hasn't been updated for GNOME 3.14

In this issue, it seems that the extension hasn't yet been updated for GNOME 3.14 and so it is shown in the extensions of the tweak tool but it also locked into a disabled state. I'm not sure if it could be that there is a missing version number in the metadata or something else, so I may look around if this hasn't been noticed already.

CopyQ does not work

core dump with antergos version.
I must install AUR (v2.5.0) to have a working version of CopyQ :-/

zfs-0.6.5.7 build failure

zfs-0.6.5.7 cannot build due to the most recent change in the zfs package.

commit id: 76b163b

Please see: after-todays-update-zfs-module-not-building

The addition of the revision and the kernel version in the path tricks DKMS into building modules with that name, and as a side effect requiring SPL to also have those very same revision and kernel version-numbers.

Which breaks the build.

Missing libalpm.so on yaourt (package-query)

Seems that there is something buggy in package-query build.
Since the last pacman update, yaourt stopped working because it cant find libalpm.so library. Few people are posting in Antergos forums about this issue.

Ive found that package-query had its latest update today (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/package-query/) while in Antergos repositories last update was in december.
Both repositories share the same version number (1.7-2). However ive installed aur version and the issue was fixed.

So I think that a build/upgrade is needed on that package to let Yaourt work again

errors on upgrade of antergos-kde-setup to 0.1.6

Upgrading to antergos-kde-setup-0.1.6-1-any left this messages in the log:

upgrading antergos-kde-setup
Setting Antergos KDE setup to user /root
cp: failed to access '/home//root': No such file or directory
chown: invalid user: '/root:users'
error: command failed to execute correctly

No idea whether it's really problematic, but it does not seem right ;)

Lightdm-greeter screen security issue

In troubleshooting the preceding issue (lock screen) for gnome-shell, I have discovered that while either the default panel Lock icon works or the 'custom keyboard shortcut' mapping super+L to dm-tools works, in either case, pressing "+F1" will cause an immediate return to the user session Desktop bypassing a password prompt entirely.

Not good.
Please review and advise!!

Feedreader is up-to-date (v1.4.3) but pacman shows v1.2.1

Seems the Antergos repo does not include the latest feedreader while the PKGBUILD in this repo is up-to-date.

$ pacaur -Ss feedreader
antergos/feedreader 1.2.1-1 (rss) [installed]
A simple feedreader desktop client for web services like Tiny Tiny RSS.
aur/feedreader 1.4.3-1 (15, 2,00) [installed: 1.2.1-1]
A simple feedreader client for web services like Tiny Tiny RSS and in the future others.

gnome-shell-extension-status-menu-buttons - Buttons Disappear, Extension Crash

When using GDM, after a short time, the power/suspend/hibernate buttons disappear from the Gnome Shell status menu.

I know that the extension clearly says that it is for use with LightDM, however, other users are stating that the extension works fine for them even with GDM enabled. When the problem occurs, if I restart Gnome with Alt+F2 and r, the buttons come back, but the extension crashes again within a few minutes. If I open the tweak tool when this happens, the extension shows as turned off and in an error state, unable to be turned back on.

Here's a screenshot of what happens:

http://imgur.com/dG18TG7

I have enabled another extension (suspend button) instead since it seems to keep the buttons intact, but am very curious to figure out what this isn't working right.
