The kitsu anime tracking only shows the manga's and not the anime.
Checked it with myanimelist but that one does work, but it's not the site I use to keep my library updated.
Would be awesome if it can be fixed.

Currently the video player plays the episode on portrait mode.

The video player can be played on horizontal mode for better viewing experience

While searching for anime like one piece. I recieved many results like ovas and movies but not the main anime. I was unable to find the anime as only 14 results were shown. ability to hold the settings icon to get many resolutions like we have in the sites
it eould be easier to select a resolution rather than tapping it again and again to shift betwern 360p 480p 720p, etc

holding the settings icon would bring up a list
its better to keep tapping to shift between resolutions and just add a hold to see all resolutions

When I try to refresh library covers or refresh tracking the app crashes :(

• Remove Issue template " Extension/source/catalogue issue Do not open an issue here. See https://github.com/tachiyomiorg/tachiyomi-extensions"
• Add a template for opening anime specific exetension issues and point it to your repo
• Fix wording for Issue Template " Official Tachiyomi extensions GitHub repository Issues about a Manga extension/source/catalogue should be opened here instead."

This one doesn't cause confusion but more seems like it isn't needed on your readme (since it wouldn't effect strings specific to your app)

It would help people find similar anime and manga easily after finishing one.

What/Requirements

Just like in Tachiyomi SY how there is a recommendations button on the manga page.

Please do check out the media player of the apps which are dead (RIP). That could be a major role of bringing people to your platform.

Can we have a dynamic icon for 'Anime' tab button too? It would really help blending into the app with rest of the dynamic icon elements.

I created backup right before uninstalling previous update(I had to for some reason)..... then I installed the latest update, I imported the backup file.....except anime almost every thing was restored.....and then I was about to install the anime extentions...but there was nothing to install.....even refreshing did not helped.....there's just a blank page....😔

Will this app make its way to fdroid as its going to be easier to track updates?

I used the new version for a day or Less it worked very well but then when I tried to get into the app it keeps kicking me out one solution I have found was turning the WiFi of then get into it and turn the WiFi on also the downloading feature on Hajime. TV is bugged I don't know if its supposed to have a download button btw

And without downloading any episode, streaming the video player can run it without any problem.

However, if you download an episode then watch it through aniyomi the app says the video can't be played.

I'm using Samsung A11 Android 11 and I am using the default video player not another external video player.

I just saw a video of someone talking about tachiyomi, and read your comment which u said in it that you want to change the app's name, so i have a name suggestion i wanna give.
Tachiyomi, 立ち読み, means reading while standing like reading a magazine in a magazine store without buying it
So the good name for this app would be
Tachimi, 立ち見, means watching while standing up.

The old version Tachiyomi was better at download feature. The queued mangas or anime never cancel even if your phone us offline. Unlike the latest(currently using). I download 100 plus chapters, finished half of it, pause and go offline. After i get back online, the half download queue GONE!

I tried to download anime from gogoanime, tenshi.moe and 4anime.to extensions

Expected behavior

The animes should be downloaded without any error

Actual behavior

For gogoanime and temshi.moe it is showing

document.selector(episodeLinkSelector()).first() must not be null

And for 4anime.to it is showing that download atarted bur actually it is not downloading.

If a streaming or casting feature was implemented for the anime sections, it would allow users to view and watch the shows with their friends and family, especially for those without android. This would make the app more accessible and more known as the apple community could benefit too.

What/Requirements

Not entirely sure on the requirements, nor the best method to have it happen. I know with Chromecast, the app has to be registered with google, but if there was a way to bypass that or have another method to stream it, that would be awesome. Regarding how it would view, obviously that would be based on the one developing it, but I feel like the easiest might be how youtube streams, meaning once you pull up the video, you have an option to connect to said TV and can control it all from the phone without a need for remote control features.

Unable to download anime from tenshi.moe extension. Downloads failing every time.

Streaming websites nowadays only use official crunchyroll/funimation subs for the anime they provide, these subs are not that good, so many people prefer fansubs over official ones for that perticular reason although there are a handful of sites that offer fansubs like Animepahe which can be added in extension later down the line, i believe for now its best to make use of the "Local source" function tachiyomi provides, since people can download the episodes from whatever source they please and put them in a speciefied Local folder manually so tachiyomi can detect and add said episodes to their library. by doing that, tachiyomi can act as a full hub of the user's online and local anime library and gives the user full freedom over the quality, subs and dubs.

What/Requirements

So, i still use tachiyomi's local source function, and i don't think it should behave any different from it, the user just have to copy/paste the episodes he wants into a "Tachiyomi/Local//" folder and so it can be detected by tachiyomi and later added by the user with discover feature.
the issue is that tachiyomi can't play some video formats "HEVC 265x/264x AVC" and some others, which wouldn't be a problem cause these can be played in an external player

Note: The requested feature can already be done by replacing downloaded episodes of said shows with what the user wants.

This can benefit the users (who most likely download) episodes they are watching and use external player to play video on their favorite media player (which they could even use to cast onto bigger screen, etc...). It is restricted to the video being played up to the last part until it registers to the trackers unlike on internal player so having the same functionality to work on both would be a huge help.

Nothing different except that it can track on the desired percentage (as configured in the settings).

TachiyomiSY has a feature in the library sort menu that allows grouping by Categories, Sources, Status, and Tracking Status.

I personally rely on tracking sites like Anilist to manage the anime I watch, so it would be useful to have the Tracking Status grouping instead of manually creating my own categories for Watching, Rewatching, and Planned series.

What/Requirements

TachiyomiSY has already implemented this feature.

Group by Categories, Sources, Status (ongoing, complete, etc), and Tracking Status (currently watching, planned, completed, paused, not tracked, etc).

I installed fresh yesterday, I still have Tachiyomi installed, I added 1 manga to my library from MangaLife extension and the app was working well.
I tried opening it today and was unable to. I tried updating to 0.11.1.5 but this did not change the problem. I can try reinstalling but thought I should submit a bug report first as it seems like a major issue I would like to help fix.

I have attached an adb logcat file active during the crash, I was not sure what to filter by to narrow it down.

I am unable to access the dump crash logs button in the app.

Currently, on the 4anime source downloading doesn't work. This might be a source issue or an app issue.

it would be great to integrate the trackers api to check the watch list, plan to watch list, completed list and to modify the tracker database.

Okay, so I was just doing some other stuff on my phone like YouTube and Discord. I decided I wanted to continue watching a certain anime but whenever I open the app it suddenly crashes/exits out. I have no why this is suddenly happening

Please add a light novel section to this app

The server gogo-cdn.com for anime downloads is not working, so i have a request to allow us to choose the server for the anime to watch or download.
Or add website extensions which does not use captcha so that it will allow us to download anime episodes.

why?:
it should be added because someone have hundreds of animes in their list and dont have the time to import them all
how?:
it should work by logging into the tracker eg mal or anilist then press a import button which will then import the animes,it will create a "watching" category for animes thats listed as watching,"completed" for completed animes and "on hold"and"dropped" categories and put the animes in their respective category

This is a must-have feature when implementing anime trackers as some sources & anime database like AniList have combined Episode 0 and the rest altogether while some like MyAnimeList and Kitsu separates it as they have their own database guidelines.
Example is Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata: Ai to Seishun no Service-kai on MAL (https://myanimelist.net/anime/29317) while Anilist Bundles it together in the main series of season 1 (https://anilist.co/anime/20657/Saenai-Heroine-no-Sodatekata/)
This not only happens on Databases but also on Anime Sites wherein some bundle and some separate it.
Implementing would help user more accurately keep rack of their records.

What/Requirements

This feature would behave in a way that you could add offset on the anime you are watching (i.e. when the current episode is 10 and episode offset is (-1 - but you could add more), it would list on the database as 9 and if offset is (1), it would list it as 11. Each individual tracker can have this option adn the default offset is 0. For reference, see (malsync.moe) as it somewhat has similar functionalities.
