This is a joint collaboration between NSIN and Marine Corps to build an end to end predictive maintenance solution. When we say we are going to deploy the model in production or productionalize the model, we are referring to integrating the machine learning model into an existing business application. In simple terms, we expose the ML model as REST API endpoints to serve the requests within the application platform or to direct user requests.

Flask It is a micro web framework written in Python. It helps us to develop application programming interface (API) or a web application that responds to the request.
NGINX is the web server and reverse proxy, that passes requests on to uWSGI.
uWSGI is an application server, which can communicate with the web server for receiving requests and forwards them to Flask via the WSGI protocol.
Docker computer program that performs operating-system-level virtualization, also known as containerization.
Jinja2 HTML framwork to interact with API.

• config define configuration management framework. The idea is to make the app behave according to configuration preset selected by the APP_ENV environment variable, plus, add an option to override any configuration setting with a specific environment variable if required.
• images contains static images that are displayed in repo.
• test-env contains virtual environment used to run build model and build docker container.
• model_dev contains data and code used to design feature engineering pipeline and train/save model.
