Hey, it's great that you've managed to make frame limiter working, but unfortunately it's capped at 20 FPS, that's why the game feels so sluggish with it enabled

Hope you'll manage to make it capped at 30 FPS sometime later

It's capped on 30 FPS
Also i dont experience any stuntjump softlocks. Completely okay on 90 FPS

Sorry, I re-checked it and it's really capped at 20 FPS

Here, I've made some comparisons for you:

  1. GTA SA with MoreSettings.so capped at 30 then 20 FPS. Showing on screen FPS indicators from both MoreSettings and a system one
GTA.SA.Frame.Limiter.mp4
  1. GTA VC with frame limiter enabled
GTA.VC.Frame.Limiter.mp4

P.S. Some more info about the USJ bug:

Those stunt softlocks are happening after some frames passed in your savefile. You can use "Playing Time" in "Stats" to track when this bug will kick in:

  1. As per GTAForums, at 30 FPS it will be after 74 hours and 34 minutes of playing time in your savefile;
  2. At 60 FPS it will kick in 2 times faster – at 37 hours and 17 minutes;
  3. So, at 90 FPS it will be 24 hours 51 minutes;
  4. At, say, 120 FPS (Remember we are dealing with unlocked framerate here) it will be 18 hours 39 minutes

But, as far as I understand, this softlock will appear only if you have ≥60 FPS when doing the stunt jump (enabling the frame limiter that you've made working again or trying to screenrecord the bug (FPS drops) removes this softlock)

Here's old android savefile from stock VC v1.09 with 40 hours and 30 minutes of playtime, so you can test this bug, if you want (Also, you may want to take a look on weapon pick-ups, their rotation is very jerky at >60 FPS):
GTA3sf7.zip

Adrenaline pickups are similarly affected (slow-mo effect never ends) and also car traffic bugs will similarly appear based on your "playing time" stat, similar to GTA SA – cars spawning on the wrong line and doing perfect 360°s, cars occasionally stucking in the ground, etc

Some more info about the USJ bug

That's exactly what i wanted - a detailed report about the problem. I was trying to find any info about USJ but no success. Thanks, will take a look later!

  1. As per GTAForums

Can you give me the link please?

Alright, replaced current framelimiter patch with a new one. Seems better but may be twitchy...
Sadly WarDrum did something with touch handling. Probably that's the main reason of removing limiter at all.

Alright, replaced current framelimiter patch with a new one.

Thank you, I've tested it and it's much better, appears to be properly 30 FPS locked now

Pretty sure i won't fix the USJ glitch as it's a global timer issue

from jpatch.

Username1-a avatar Username1-a commented on July 17, 2024

It's totally fine, as far as I remember, even on PC this softlock is still present even with stuff like SilentPatch, it's just on PC it's easier to pass through it (Alt+Tabbing several times or "ONSPEED" cheat (Increased game speed) should do the trick) + you can reset timer in your save through the save editors or GTASnP website:

But since you've made the frame limiter working again, it's just easier to pass through the softlock by enabling it in the settings for a short time

I wont fix global timer. That's all.
