logoot_crdt's Introduction

Logoot

Logoot CRDT implementation in Elixir.

DO NOT USE: This is still a WIP and requires testing + documentation.

document = Logoot.Document.new()
item = %Logoot.Item{
  content: "Hello world!"
}

# Insert a new line at index 1.
document
|> Logoot.insert_item(item, 1, site_id)

logoot_crdt's Issues

Plain data types instead of structs

It probably makes more sense to use plain data types instead of structs, for heap size reasons.

iex(v1) Logoot.Document.new() |> :erts_debug.size()

78 words of heap space

While a stripped-down version would be:

iex(6)> [
...(6)>   {{[{0, 0}], 0}, ""},
...(6)>   {{[{32767, 0}], 1}, ""}
...(6)> ]

28 words of heap space
