$> sudo service apache2 restart

Ommitting 'sudo' on my AWS VPC fails to restart service.

I've followed all the steps mentioned and searched up fixes, but no matter what I do, I keep getting http error 500; "This page isn’t working right now" when I try to access phpmyadmin. Please help.

I found some issues with php5enmod mcrypt command, that's why I'm writing this. However, I found a solution for that as well. You may test and update accordingly or help me to learn more, if everything is fine.

Instead of php5enmod mcrypt, I found this sudo phpenmod mcrypt at Digital Ocean Tuts, and It's working in my case. Kindly refer screenshot for more info.
