SMPLX_Visualizer

A simple offline video renderer to visualize the TED-SMPLX dataset.

Setup Instructions

Download SMPL-X models from here and put the model files (.npz) to smplx_model folder.

# Create python 3.8 virtual environment via conda
conda create -n smplx_viz python=3.8
conda activate smplx_viz
# Install required packages
pip smplx human-body-prior

# run example rendering script (mesh)
python SMPLX_mesh_render.py
# run example rendering script (skeleton)
python SMPLX_skeleton_render.py

retarget for metahuman

Hi,

Thanks for presenting such a great work. I was wondering how I can retarget to metahuman avatars, just as you show in your video. Could you please provide some codes or tutorial for this?

Export animated model as obj

First of all, thank you for the awesome project.

Could you please explain how can we export "Animated 3D model" as .fbx or .obj using python, instead of writing it to video file as in below line : https://github.com/andrewfengusa/SMPLX_Visualizer/blob/main/SMPLX_mesh_render.py#L105
