I'm looking for a way to change the search highlight color for PDF files in Chrome. I thought I was having trouble with this in the PDF file, but it's not working for web pages either. Maybe I don't understand how it works. I installed the extension, set a color (bright green), the did a search. The search highlight colors are still orange for the item selected and yellow for other found items, but not the current selection.

Feature requests: ability to change opacity of text and background color.
Additionally, when clicking on the background and text color box, ability to chose a color from a popup window in addition to entering hex code rgb numbers. Thanks in Advance!

The extension will need to be updated to Manifest V3 in the near future.

Sometimes the pickr values don't get set correctly when opening the popup and therefore only displaying the default colors. This only happens sometimes and it seems like the pickr.setColor doesn't fire at all.

Currently, the live search and quick find color in chrome is yellow with orange for the current selection in the find range. For example, if you Ctrl + F and search for the term: 'search' it will come up with multiple results, all the results will be highlighted yellow except the currently focused item, The find UI can scroll through the search results changing the focused item to orange and scrolling the page.

The Yellow / Orange color scheme is difficult to see on dark-mode / low-contrast pages, so being able to edit these colors would be very beneficial and a great new feature to the Custom-Highlight extension.

When dark reader is activated the highlight color goes back to the normal one.

When a new text color is set when the auto-text-color is on, auto-text-color should be turned off and the checkbox should be unchecked,

Right now the highlight-color does not change on google docs. This needs some investigation tho the normal method does not work.
