The goal of this project is to port Joy to C, while retaining the original flavour, but at the same time make it feel like C. It should be easy for someone new to programming to understand it easily.

The joy.h defines all the shapes and transformations. The following examples will only show the code that is inside main.

Basic Shapes

Shape s1, s2;

s1 = circle(0, 0, 40); // x, y, r
s2 = rectangle(0, 0, 50, 100); // x, y, w, h
show(s1, s2)

Attributes

Shape s = circle(0, 0, 40);
s.stroke = "red";
s.fill = "yellow";
s.strokeWidth = 5;
show(s)

Transformations

The transformations are applied by calling the transform function.

Shape s1 = rectangle(0, 0, 20, 40);
Shape s2 = transform(s1, rotate(30));
show(s1, s2)

Shape s1 = rectangle(0, 0, 20, 40);
Shape s2 = transform(s1, repeat(18, rotate(30)));
show(s1, s2)

Combining Shapes

The combine function is used to combine two shapes.

Shape s1 = circle(0, 0, 40);
Shape s2 = rectangle(0, 0, 50, 100);

Shape s3 = combine(s1, s2);
