The points example would look better if points in the distance were drawn darker.

There could be an option for fog (or size relative to distance), but custom shaders would also be nice.

The current atmosphere size looks good for the natural-earth texture, but not so good for the original black WebGL Globe texture.

SVG labels are too slow. Draw them directly using WebGL.

Some points appear in the ocean, particularly on the right side of land.

The default for rotation should be geographic coordinates, not radians.

Since changing the circle image dimensions to be a power of two (6c84512), the areas of the point with 0 < alpha < 1 are blended with a black background.
