picuntu-3.0.8-alok's Issues

SMSC 8720A Support

On my MK809iii knockoff there is a LAN 10/100 port that is connected to a SMSC8720A Ethernet chip. I have not been able to find an available source, but I have contacted the mfg to see if one is available.

This issue was opened to track that progress.

ZD1211b wifi

Hi! trying to get my zd1211b wifi running. Do i need to add firmware? the zd1211rw driver should be in the kernel right?

trying to boot an old device !

Hello !
Thanks for this nice work. I am trying, mostly for fun, to boot linux on an older device mk808b clone.
Unfortunately I only get to see 2 penguins and then a quick reboot to the main android image, no matter which config I try, hotdog, andrewdb or yours...
Are you able to provide a hint on what to change on .config for this kernel to boot there?
thank you, have a good day!

MT5931 Wifi and MT6622 Bluetooth support

Thanks for adding the Rikomagic Mediatek code.
From my side, I've found more Linux-like drivers in this repo:
git://github.com/Anderxale/7300-kern.git

Take a look at folder:
7300-kern/common/drivers/amlogic/wifi/mtk_5931/

UPDATE: The repo has been deleted!! I cloned it a couple weeks ago. I'll reupload the mtk folder to a repo of my own

Rebuilding MK808 kernel

Hey,

I'm tearing my hair out trying to rebuild the kernel for MK808 stick. The original 'ug802recovkernel.img' you supplied back in the early Picuntu days works fine, but I can't manage to build my own working kernel, regardless of which sources or toolchain I use. At the moment I'm pinning on commit dd6c934 from this repository, and using the armhf compiler chain that ships with Ubuntu 14.04, which I'm assuming should be fine.

Unpacking and repacking your original kernel works fine, so it's not my version of mkkrnlimg. I've found the original kernel tarball hosted on googlecode.com, but I can't download it -- I assumed that the early history in this repository would be close it. Any clues, pointers, hints, etc. would be very grateful!

Thanks,
Steve

watchdog code?

I've built this tree for a minix neo x5 mini, but it constantly reboots, I suspect it's missing synopsys designware watchdog support? Any ideas? Or know of a "better" kernel to try? I've got 3.17 near-vanilla booting, but it doesn't seem to detect the sd card, and all the 3.0.8 trees I've tried either don't boot, or constantly reboot.
