Why would like to see this feature/addition?

Because

No longer appears to show average use over time

Bug Description

The block no longer appears to show average usage over time.

Expected Behavior

I set it to meter over 500 ms, for example, and I just don't see any value at all. Or it'll show a spike of usage, then go back to 0. The power use in this system is sporadic, like Industrial Foregoing machines that only draw power every couple seconds.

For example, laser drills draw 1000 FE every 3 seconds. I'd expect to be able to set the interval to 120 or so and see the average draw of 16.6 FE/t

Possible Solution

It seems like it's not properly caching the energy use over the period and/or not averaging that over the period

Reproduction

  1. Place Creative Power source
  2. Run that into the Energy Meter
  3. Run the power out to an Industrial Foregoing Laser Drill
  4. Set the Meter to input/output from the appropriate sides
  5. Set an interval of 120

Hey, I'm playing the Enigmatica 8 Modpack with this mod on a Server. After every server restart the config of a Energymeter block gets resettet.

The original version of the mod had a number of the total energy transferred and I noticed that this port does not have it

Would be cool to see how much energy went through certain cables

Energy meter slowing power throughput down to a crawl

Describe the bug!

I am currently running on All the Mods 7 and have placed an energy meter between Energy Batteries from Integrated Dynamics and numerous powered items connected using Energy Pipez from the Pipez mod.
If I put a powered item on the cable just before the Energy meter it powers it to 1 million RF instantly.
However if I place the same item after the Energy meter, its slowly charging up (about 30 rf /t).
I have tried this bypassing the energy meter (with everything plugged in still) and it charges instantly so at this stage I am assuming that the energy meter is somehow capping the throughput.

ComputerCraft Integration

Describe the feature/addition!

Integrate an Interface for the ComputerCraft Mod.
This should then open the possibility to automate the Energy Management.
The Integration can be very simple that the current Value of Energy per Tick is communicated.
If there is room then it could also be implemented that the different Incoming and Outgoing Ports Energy/t values could be get.
The Way i mostly saw it implemented was that the Mod add this blog as peripheral, so that we have methods to invoke on the "Block".
Methods i would like to have there

getRate()
Returns the Current Energy/t as an Long (so the bare value without formating)

getRates()
Returns an Array. Either a one dimensional one with just the Positiv (Incoming) and Negativ (Outgoing) values for all sides
Or a two dimensional Array/Map with the Key is the Side (SOUTH,UP,WEST,...) and the Value the Positive or Negativ Value

changeMode(String/boolean)
Changes the Mode to Transfer or Consume. Either with the String (TRANSFER,CONSUME) or just false for Transfer and true for Consume. Or the the next two methods

changeModeToTransfer
changeModeToConsume
an Alternative to the changeMode method

changeAccuracy(int,int)
Changes the Accuracy. The Values (0,0) would mean exact, when numbers supplied it would be the interval and the Zero Threashold

Why would like to see this feature/addition?

This makes it possible to Management the Energy Network via ComputerCraft. This make it for example possible with two Energy Meter's to Monitor the state of energy storage's which aren't integrated (Measuring the Incoming and Outgoing Values in the Respected Energy Meters), Create Statistics, Dashboards and other countless things.

Mining the energy meter block does not drop item

Bug Description

Mining the energy meter block does not drop the corresponding item.

Expected Behavior

The energy meter item should drop when mined

Current Behavior

nothing happens, no drops.

Possible Solution

I will PR a fix that makes a loot table for the block.

Transfert Rate Limit

Like the original Energy Meters mod, allow the player to set a transfert rate limit to the energy meter.

Why would like to see this feature/addition?

I want it because no other mod do that in 1.18.2, and because this feature is present in the original mod.
