relayattenuator's Issues

Relay Attenuator plugin needs documentation to resolve GPIO pin conflict.

On the Volumio advertisement for the Relay Attenuator - https://volumio.org/product/allo-relay-attenuator/ it says in point 5 that it can be used with GPIO spacers. Documentation for this is non-existent, and I have had to figure it out. As per other issue I have now got this working in standalone mode. However attempts to get this working with other Allo HATs fail because both the Allo DigiOne and the Relay Attenuator want access to GPIO17. I have tried resolving this via dtoverlays to change the GPIO pin used by the Relay Attenuator but so far without success. if Volumio and Allo want to continue to advertise the Relay Attenuator as usable in this mode, they need to provide clear instructions for resolving GPIO conflicts, which can happen between the Relay Attenuator and any other device using GPIO. If they cannot do this they need to remove this portion of the advertisement.

100 real steps for Allo Relay Attenuator

Hi!

I use Relay Attenuator, thanks!

I would like to add one more relay, and get "100 real steps". I understand how to change the hardware. I need to have "100 real steps" on i2c without interpolation. Yuo can help me in this?

Relay Attenuator Plugin code needs an update for Volumio 2.779 / Kernel 4.19

This plugin code (which has not been updated since 2017) needs an update as LIRC can no longer be used with current versions of Volumio. Kernel 4.19 does not support LIRC, and GPIO-IR must be used instead. I have made changes to my instance and the plugin now operates correctly in standalone mode. I can supply details if needed. However I don't have it fully working, due to a separate issue which I will also document.
