machinelearningthebasics's Issues

Some errors and suggestions for 6.1-3 and 6.6

Hi Alex,

I'm a student on the ML course. Attached are a few annotations I made when doing the required reading for Round 6. Some of them are purely stylistic in nature so not sure how useful this is. Anyway thought I'd attach it here just in case. For reference all my corrections/annotations occur on pages 105 - 119 and pages 124 -125.

Should repo contain .tex files as well?

I think ideally, this repo would also contain the source .tex-files used to create the book.
One could then have a CI/CD action that compiles the book and always has an up-to-date version on a different branch like gh-pages

Baseline accuracy is not covered

If you search the current draft with "baseline", no phrases are found. Therefore this issue.

It would be a nice improvement to include a section on the topic of baseline accuracy. Like why it is required, how it can created for a specific problem types and how it is utilised.
