It's hard to figure out which way the barrel is moving toward. And with the delay on barrel movement, accurate aiming is near impossible. Implementing a small, semi transparent triangle/arrow pointing in the direction of the mouse will solve that.

There's a few issues blocking any switch to OpenGL. Here's a (in progress) tracking list

• Fix (or wait for a fix) for MonoGame/MonoGame#4297 (mouse input bugs)
• Have asset compile helper switch from WindowsDX to WindowsGL
• Investigate performance issues (related to shader translation?)
