flyingfox's Issues

HNTP readme correction

In the HNTP readme.md ; the Import settings should say config.json instead of custom.css.
Just a small thing to fix :) Otherwise, the theme is fantastic looking and working great!

Unaligned icons

Hey guys,

Fantastic work with this config =). I love it.

There is just a minor issue that I would like to solve. The icons from my toolbar are not aligned. Here is a screenshot:

How can we fix this?

New store for FirefoxCSS themes

Hi, I don't know how to contact you so I'm using this.

We are creating a website where to collect firefox themes. we have included yours by linking to this github. But we don't have a good preview image of your theme. It would be nice if you could provide it.

I invite you to add/change/remove any information we have added to our website. I hope you like the initiative and that in the future you will send us more themes.

here are the links:

Sidebar not collapsing with the TST custom-hover.css

FlyingFox 0.1.1, Firefox 86.0, Windows 10.

Sidebar remains open/uncollapsed even when mouse is nowhere near it. I can still toggle the sidebar on/off via hotkey (F1). When I mouseover a tab in the sidebar, the "close tab" icon pops unhides.

Bookmarks toolbar collapses/autohides.

Webapp outputs outdated variable names regarding Window Control placement

Describe the bug
When generating a "config.css" from the webapp, it includes the variable --wc-horizontal-shift, when the actual variables in the config should be --wc-left-space and --wc-right-space. This has the effect of disabling the window controls when the generated config is used.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to https://flyingfox.netlify.app
  2. Click on "Customize"
  3. Click on the "Settings" icon, and then the "Code" icon on the top right.
  4. Generated config.css has the wrong variable.

[Idea] TST close button on the left

When using autohide it one has to move the cursor to the left to open slide it open but when it is expanded one needs to go to the far right to close a tab.
A simple solution to minimize travel distances for the tabs would be to move the close button to the left of the tab name.

TST hover is not working

Everything else in the tabs works exactly as in the video, but when the cursor is removed the tabs do not hide. I imagine this is probably me doing something wrong in the install process since I'm fairly new to all this. I followed the instructions in the wiki to get to this point, and I have looked further into the readme files, but they just don't make any sense. I still have config.json unused, but the readme file says I need to use the import button in the extension options, but no such button exists. Please help?

This is with Firefox 86.0 btw

Improper css with default Firefox Theme

Hi,

After updating firefox and the TreeStyleTab to the latest version. The complete CSS seems to be broken, I have tried reinstalling following the wiki however, it just doesnt seem to work out.

Issues:

  1. As soon as the chrome and user.js files (downloaded from the releases) are pasted in the profile directory. the UI messes up.
  2. Even after loading the custom-hover.css , the sidebar remains static.

FirefoxCSS: Remove System Window Decorations

Hi, on Deepin 20 (Debian Buster based) firefox uses the system titlebar, which does not go with the theme. I doubt this is a system issue because there are alot of apps that do not use the system titlebar (including edge annd chrome)

Tree Style Tab has a default style on Windows

Hi, thanks a lot for providing your instructions and configs.

I do have a question, because it looks like Tree Style Tab doesn't have the expected look and behavior. Even with the custom css and config in json it still acts as a static panel, unlike the one shown in the examples. Is this a known issue?

change colors

Hi - I've been trying to change colors - I want to use #1c2c2c or #212121 as background color but no matter what i do nothing changes. All my programs and terminals are either Β€1c1c1c or #212121 so for the consistent look 'i 'd like this to follow the same colors. Any idea how I can achieve this?

edit:
Also want to thank you for this- I've used nighttab for over a year now - but this is just amazing so if I can change it so it fits with my other colors this will be my new go to.

edit 2
I tried to change sidebar bg color to 1c1c1c but after the restart, it showed the same color - no change

icon alignment for tree and active tab

As the title says, it would be nice to have all tab icons aligned the same, right now tree tabs as well as the active tab are too far right which looks slightly broken.
See screenshot for an example:

Pinned Tabs acting weird

So, a couple of things.

  • there is a line that strikes through pinned tabs
  • selected pinned tabs goes under the reserved row and all the way to the right

here are a couple of images for reference.

Hover configuration not working

After following the installation instructions from the wiki everything looks ok except the sidebar seems to be static even though I used custom-hover.css when configuring TST. Strangely enough, the bookmarks bar is now hidden and unhidden upon mouse hover but not the sidebar. Any ideas?

Top tab bar still showing up, side tab bar not collapsing

Hey
Really nice work. .I am using Ubuntu 18.04 and I followed through all the steps and ended up with something like this. Along with the problems mentioned in the title(tried all the solutions provided by you), the UI doesn't quite look like yours
Also. I would like to know which dark mode theme you use in your setup.
Sorry for any silly questions, new to firefox.

[IDEA] TST - Pin Tabs show up in sidebar

Idea: Have Pin tabs show up without hover in TST. Have them be top and protected, and at the beginning of the list. making them more similar to stock Firefox behavior.

Currently they sit up top and require more work than standard tabs to access. If they stayed in view as protected tabs it would improve their functionality.

I'm don't currently know if this is CSS addressable or hard coded into TST.

Right handed Window Control

On windows, switching between using left handed controls for firefox and right for literally every other program renders inline window controls virtually useless. It would be nice if there was a possibility to align window controls with the rest on the OS on Windows and Linux with a control of where its placed.

Close button styling, Background Colour, and Hover not working

I'm having a few problems.

Firstly, this may just be an overall thing, but there seems to be a square around the "close tab" button
image

Secondly, I'm having trouble getting my background to change, or the sidebar to collapse. I've attached my chrome folder below.
chrome.zip

I appreciate any help!

Thanks for making such an awesome project. Hopefully, I can get it working soon :)

Fixing Window Controls on Windows 10

Hello again,

Making this note here for people on Windows 10. I noticed that the window controls were not fully showing when placing them on the right side (the minimize button was getting cutoff). When using the left side CSS, the maximize button was slightly getting cutoff. Everything works flawlessly on macOS.

I've made the following changes to show the windows control on the RIGHT side correctly. Users made need to experiment with values if they're trying to use the left side. Might just need to tweak the right side values too... this is what worked for me however:

In wc-without-tabline-r.css, change:

:root:not([inFullscreen]) toolbar#nav-bar {
    margin-left: 0 !important;
    margin-right: calc(var(--wc-left-space) * 2 + 80px) !important;
}

In window-controls.css:

.titlebar-button {
    transition: all 0.3s ease !important;
    padding: 4px 8px 0px 8px !important;
    background: none !important;
    -moz-context-properties: fill, fill-opacity !important;
}

/* Fix for window controls moving up when maximizing window */
:root[sizemode="maximized"] .titlebar-button {
    padding: 14px 8px 0px 8px !important;
}

Cheers!

Icons not showing on the right

Solution

  1. Goto about:addons in Firefox
  2. Go to Preferences for Tree Style Tab an set Style of contents for the sidebar to Right Side

Align Window Controls with other icons

Describe the bug
The window controls are not aligned with other icons on toolbar.

wc-without-tabline-r.css:

@import "window-controls.css";
@import "wc-without-tabline.css";

#TabsToolbar.browser-toolbar {
    left: auto !important;
    right: var(--wc-right-space) !important;
}

:root:not([inFullscreen]) toolbar#nav-bar {
    margin-left: 0 !important;
    margin-right: calc(var(--wc-left-space) * 2 + 72px) !important;
}

FirefoxCSS: Window Controls Not Visible

[Feature Request] Color Picker

Great job on FlyingFox, I really love this project!

Currently you have to manually type HEX values, but it would be nice to have a color picker so we can play around with color ideas and see it in the preview output.

Icons are too far to the right

when using the configuration given the icon for the website barely show up on the right side. It maybe because I am using a smaller screened laptop or maybe because I am using GNU IceCat, but I'm not for sure

[Request] Include a homepage

Hey I was just wondering if it would be possible to include the home page for FF that you use in the pictures. This is a fantastic project thank you for sharing :D

Little Problem with Linux Version

Hi I seen your post on reddit, and I decide try it out ,but I did face an problem that not all fields was receive the correct color, and a piece was white clashing from overall, I dont know if I lost something on middle of process, or the addon was updated with something new, but anyway I made this little hack and everyhing is working great as in your post.

this rule on chrome.css not working for me

#sidebar-box[sidebarcommand="treestyletab_piro_sakura_ne_jp-sidebar-action"].... {
   display: none !important;
}

my little hack to fix my issue:

#sidebar-box{
  background: #31313a !important;
}

PS: Great Theme, Congratulations πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ for your job.

Stylus theme

Not really an issue but I would love to have your stylus configuration for github

How do we make sure the bookmarks are always shown?

First of all, I really like this project :) I've fiddled with it a bit locally so it suits my needs better, and everything is perfect, except the fact I don't know how to make the bookmarks always show. I've looked at the wiki and in the code, but I couldn't find anything to help me out.

I've also tried changing this setting from the browser > rightclick near the url bar > bookmarks toolbar > always show, but that didn't change anything, and the setting seems to stay off?

I'm currently running latest firefox version on manjaro.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
