clidle

Wordle, now over SSH.

Try it:

ssh clidle.duckdns.org -p 3000

Or, run it locally:

go install github.com/ajeetdsouza/clidle@latest

How to play

You have 6 attempts to guess the correct word. Each guess must be a valid 5 letter word.

After submitting a guess, the letters will turn green, yellow, or gray.

Green: The letter is correct, and is in the correct position.
Yellow: The letter is present in the solution, but is in the wrong position.
Gray: The letter is not present in the solution.

Scoring

Your final score is based on how many guesses it took to arrive at the solution:

Incorrect response with double letters

If the hidden word has only a single copy of a letter (say D in DIETS), and you guess a word with two of that letter (say, BUDDY), then it will highlight both as present in the word. Wordle does not work this way. It would only highlight the first, or correct, one.

Hosting is down.

I don't seem to be able to reach the end. I am willing to host the project if needed.

Add binaries more architectures

It would be nice to have binary releases for more architectures ( armv6, armv7, aarch64, etc.). I believe this should be pretty easy to do with Go.

Key to quit

Is there any way to quit without ctrl-c? Perhaps escape, or a "q" after game end?

Server Hosting

Sorry not an issue, but just wondering where the server is hosted?

Connection refused

I'm getting this when trying to run the following command

ssh clidle.duckdns.org -p 3000

Issue matching unrelated words.

Multiple languages

Ability to choose the language, provided that the required words.LANG.go file was compiled.
