Would be nice to have 2004 LCD support aka non 12864 type.
Sure thing 12864 is better but there are machines with 2004 LCD already shipped and/or has cutout in the frame.

Examples:
I've converted my Prusa MK2 to Duet so had to remove front screen (to have front screen displaying info again would be nice)
and my old Makerbot Original went through the Duet conversion too so I had to print not so pretty plug fillers hence having non working LCD is a bit awkward (again to have at least basic info would be nice to have)

Not sure if project is still alive but here you have it, perhaps idea for passing by "forker"
