It's fun to come up with your own captions for images instead of selecting one of the options. Would be convenient to have a button to fetch a new image.
Maybe I'll make a PR this weekend.
I've only recently been made aware that there's a display issue on iPhones. Because Safari will truncate the select options, you get readouts like How To Resist Sexual Desires By Following...
, which is usability that could be better.
If anyone wants to suggest something better, I'd love to hear it.
It's possible to run out of pictures. SOmething should happen then.
Related to #5 - Currently if you gave damn.dog a hash higher than the rounds available, it would error. Make it do something else instead.
When I pull this site up when nothing's cached, I get the game over screen while it's getting set up.
184 (How To Be Comfortable in Your Own Skin) and 180 (How To Feed a Snake) are using images that no longer occur within the actual articles.
Hi,
Nice game, but it seems there is something wrong with the statistics:
After about 200 questions it said "game over" and gave me the statistics: Rounds played: 12 - Correct: 129 - Incorrect: 7 - Percent: 68%
Am I misinterpreting something? Then it's just a communications problem ^^
Need a background_color
and theme_color
After looking at the repo for a couple of minutes, it's still not obvious where to add answers for a picture.
Just a point total somewhere.
It would be fun to track how people are doing.
I just made it so when you load a new round, it changes the URL hash to be the number of that round.
Next up, I want to make it so if you go to damn.dog/#60
, it'll load image 60.
You scared the shit out of me.
Now that damn.dog is HTTPS, let's get a service worker installed.
I'd like to add a link to the hamburger menu that allows the user to add damn.dog to their home screen.
Optimally, this would only be displayed for users who can actually do that. If they can't, maybe there's an add to favorites like or something.
The top and bottom bars on the page are a little unwieldy and mostly empty. I want to try am approach where there's a topnav divided in 3...
Round # | % correct | hamburger menu
That could remove the top bar completely and perhaps allow for additional actions.
