AFKissXMLRequestOperation.h has this implementation:

+ (BOOL)canProcessRequest:(NSURLRequest *)request {
    return [[[request URL] pathExtension] isEqualToString:@"xml"] || [[[request URL] pathExtension] isEqualToString:@"html"] || [super canProcessRequest:request];
}

Since the S3 URLs don't end in xml or html, it won't handle them. @mattt I'm interested in helping out on this project, would like to hear from you on this and the signing issue before I push off on my own.

@johnnysheeley The path extension is a red herring. You're missing the more important part in super, where the Accept headers match.

@segiddins You need to set the default Accept header to application/xml. This annoying step will be obviated in AFNetworking 2.0.
