travel-link's Introduction

TraveLink

Our first project on the journey to becomeing web developers, TraveLink gives a traveler the ability to explore entertainment options in their destination city with a weather forecast so the savvy traveler can be prepared for whatever mother nature has planned.

The traveler can save to an itinerary the events they're most interested in and follow a hyperlink to purchase admission.

Use of the site can be summed up with the following user story:

As a traveler to a brand new city,

I want to know what entertainment options are available and what the weather will be like,

So that I can make the most of my trip.

Take it for a spin

To use the app, enter your arrival and departure dates, and the name of the US city you're traveling to then click 'Search'. Once your search results display click the 'Add to Itinerary' button below the event's image to add the events you're interested in to your itinerary.

Technologies Used

travel-link's Issues

Left Justify the search parameters

Just figured out what is throwing me off visually. The titles of the search parameters are centered but the input values are not. It's a little thing but I think changing it will have quite an impact visually.

Figure out the settings

The admin should have to have pull requests approved. Need to figure out how to make that happen.

Function for adding to the itinerary

Need to use JS to create a check box next to each event or restaurant and an event listener so that when the box is checked, the event or restaurant get's added to the itinerary.

PSEUDO code

Create and finish pseudo code for our JS file. (HTML and CSS also if needed)

Events with style on Page

Now that the events are populating in the correct spot, we need the 'Add Itinerary' button to go with it. Also, the styling of the text isn't quite right.
