LIISignals

Simulation of Laser-Induced Incandescence (LII) signals

LIISignal is a numerical library written in C++ for modeling the temporal behavior of LII signals by solving a coupled energy and mass balance including the absorption of laser energy, the heat loss due to vaporization from the particle surface, heat conduction to the surrounding gas, and heat loss due to radiation, according to the model developed by Hofman et al. (2007).

Reconstruction of LII signal

There is need to reconstruct the LII signal according to Equation 31 reported in Hofmann et al. (2007). What we miss is the spectral response function of the detection system Omega(lambda).

Extensive tests for monodispersed distribution

Extensive and sistematic tests are needed before releasing the version for monodispersed distributions. A comparison with results provided through the web interface implemented by Hofmann et al. will be very useful.
