Installing MariaDB on Ubuntu 18.04, I found that config files loaded into /etc/mariadb.conf.d/*.cnf (which is where the role puts them by default) had no effect. All the config files there were completely ignored.

Moving the cnf files over to /etc/mysql/conf.d/ fixed the problem.

Why?Was the mariadb.conf.d dir only used for 16.04?

I plan to install MariaDB server version 10.1.44-MariaDB-0ubuntu0.18.04.1. I have a few questions

1. How to specify above version in defaults/main.yml?
2. How to remove MariaDB after I installed it?
3. If there is no way to uninstall, how to upgrade MariaDB from 10.1 to 10.2?

Task Remove the test database fails on 18.04 with: FAILED! => {"changed": false, "msg": "The PyMySQL (Python 2.7 and Python 3.X) or MySQL-python (Python 2.X) module is required."}

Solution: Add python3-pymysql before the task is run.

Not all mirrors use the same dir structure. The current format breaks, for example, if specifying archive.mariadb.org as the mirror.
