I like this feature of debug library that I want to implement here.

Basically passing a parameter (for example debug or detecting it from NODE_ENV) add milliseconds diff from each log level.

Detect if the environment is a browser and change the transport layer to works with colors in the browser

Hi, nice work.

I installed this module via npm, but when trying to run an example code Node throws this error message in terminal.

I fixed it installing the coffescript module from npm then it worked properly. Is it something with package.json in the dependencies section?

Based in util.format but compatible with the browser as well.
