SkipEdge option doesn't work on Windows 11
Using uupdump.net and the uup_download_windows command script.
I've ensured that AddUpdates=1 is set before attempting to change this option, but both values (1, 2) have no effect on the resulting Windows install, with Edge present on the system. Setting SkipEdge = 1 and installing Windows 10 seems to work, so I'd suggest you add a note in the ReadMe.html to let users know that the feature isn't compatible with Windows 11.

Just wondering if zh-tw langpacks are supported. They were never made in .exe files by themselves, only .iso's with .cab files inside.

convert-UUP.cmd: Consider adding WinPE-FontSupport to winre.wim?
For new Windows Setup (24H2) under WinPE, if no WinPE-FontSupport-langid is added into WinPE.wim (i.e. you used non-CJK language as base version, usually English) but East Asian languages are added into main install.wim, the setup might look like this:
Note the squares in the pictures, which are CJK chars without proper font support. They correspond to CHS, CHT and JPN.
Selecting them will make setup look like this:
This issue is non-existent under older setup, as when no CJK font is added, older Windows Setup only allows you to use English setup UI as is shown below:
This might also be a MS issue.
For installed system, although main system will look normal:
(in which Japanese is made install language and cannot be removed, as if it was installed using a Japanese localized ISO)
the WinRE will also be English-only:
Also websites using this script should raise attention regarding this. Maybe they should consider hosting a list for download sources of "WinPE-FontSupport-langid.cab"s corresponding to Windows version, as they are only included in MS ADK.
How to use Win10MUI
There are multiple folders such as "Langs", "OnDemand" and "Updates". In which folder I place all the UUP language files that I downloaded from uup.rg-adguard.net?

I noticed that in uup-converter that there is a function :defender_update that adds ms defender definition and platform updates by setting a certain value in mpamfe variable. I wonder how to utilize it because there is no documentation about it inside the readme. Thanks in advance :-)

fod are optional on demand feature, features which can be added/removed to image.
how to find a fod? its easy in uupdump you have .cab files generated. can be all by default of none. all depends by custom configs just like lists microsoft store apps

[W7MUI] Feature request - Warn if anything else is using DISM at the moment
I had an issue where I was using NTLite and W7MUI at the same time (for different WIM files). NTLite unmounts every image when it's done (it doesn't outright say it, so you don't know until it happens), so that caused issues for W7MUI. I suggest giving a warning if anything else is using DISM to prevent conflicts.
uup-converter-wimlib: Error creating INSTALL.WIM for non-US multi-edition Windows 1x ISO
When creating a non-US language multi-edition ISO for Windows 10/11, recent versions of the convert-UUP.cmd script stop give me an error:

Tried to add an image with a name that is already in use.
Errors were reported during wim export.
This error does not manifest if I choose English (United States) as the language. Tried Windows 10 22H2 Release and Windows 11 24H2 Canary with Home and Professional editions (non-N) selected, Russian and German languages, and various conversion options for updates, but only US versions compile successfully.
Console output from the UUPDump.net version is attached; the same error happens with RG-AdGuard.net version of the script.

From what I heard, you need to install language packs for Windows 7 before you install Service Pack 1, otherwise it cancels out and then you have to install them again. Can I use this for RTM versions of Windows 7?

Windows 8.1 Update 3 x86 - Setup Cannot Continue Due to a Corrupt Installation File
Steps to reproduce:

Obtain WHDownloader 0.0.2.4
Download all updates under Windows8.1-Update3-x86 Update List
Run WHD-W81UI.cmd (version 7.0) with the following options:

Enable .NET 3.5: Yes
Cleanup System Image: Yes
Reset Base: Yes
The setup moves along to the second stage where it copies the files, and then throws the error in the title of this issue.

The UUP>>ISO conventer would have the full option which is (Ability to choose in the installer the language) but UUP>>WIM would have the Mini function

esd decrypter not able to select multiple esd files (when it is like Pro.esd, HomeN.esd, etc)
gus33000 made a project ESD-Decrypter which allowed you to convert multiple ESD's to ISO's. It was archived and there is nothing to do with it.
So here are all the features I want to add:
- GUI
- Multiple ESD choice when detected
- ISO naming formats
- Edition selecting when there are 2 ESD’s that have multiple editions (e.g., first one has Pro, Pro N, Home, Home N and Home Single Language and second has Pro, Pro N, Enterprise, Enterprise N, Education, Education N)
- Choice to compile in ESD or WIM
- ESD Downloading and finding on MS file database
- Automatic recording option (to DVD and to USB) after creating ISO

So for 4. when there was older builds, you had to download each edition (so Pro.esd, Home.esd, ProN.esd, HomeN.esd)
An idea about ESD converter
Hello, I have an message, about the ESD converter.
Ideas:
- It should be programmed like UUP converter
- When detected more editions allow to choose (for example Pro and Enterprise) instead of Home, Home N, Pro N and Home Single language.
- And also, when detected multiple architectures and or editions show all detected.
- Add configuration options (SkipISO, CreateESD) (SkipISO is for not creating iso, saving the folder and CreateESD creates the install.esd instead of install.wim).

Search engine stop working after add LP
I just added Arabic language ( ar-sa ) LP with additional OnDemand files (totally 5 files from UUP site) to unmodified win10 build 1909 en-us version, using W10MUI tool + enable .Net 3.5
I followed README instructions step by step.
Arabic language added successfully to setup UI (boot.wim) and whole windows OS.
But I noticed that search engine not responding in start menu and also windows explorer at all.
Any suggestions please.
Windows 10 22H2 build 19045 language packs
I tried using LP from 19041-LPs.txt, it integrated successfully using NTLite but after installing windows it kept restarting then failed to start the final setup.

When executing to this line, 7z will ask whether to replace the existing files because there are files with the same name. And since output is disabled, it looks like the script was stucked.
I checked these files and they seems to be the same.

New Script Request: Configure Windows 10 Virtual Machine Guest OS per Microsoft Recommended Settings

Thanks for making and maintaining very useful scripts in this repository. I am a huge fan of your work. Your scripts automate lots of useful tasks that are very difficult (and sometimes impossible) to do manually.
I have a request for a new batch script. Microsoft has a webpage (linked below) where they specify a long list of recommended settings for Windows 10 guests running under a virtual machines (e.g. Virtualbox, Vmware, etc.). These settings are supposed to improve the performance of the Windows 10 Virtual machines by making the OS leaner and lighter.

The web page that I linked above has a very long list of recommended settings. Some of them are set during OS installation, others are manually changed using the Windows Settings User Interface and some others require Group Policy. It takes a very long time to apply these settings to the guest Windows 10 OS. Can you make a batch script that automates the process and applies all of these recommended settings automatically to a running Windows 10 OS?
I think a batch script that automates that process would be extremely useful, but the decision is ultimately yours. In addition to virtual machines, these settings can also be useful for people who want to run a lean Windows 10 system. Most of these settings are probably applicable to Windows 11 too. Thanks for everything in advance.
ERROR: required file cleanospp.exe is missing
Happens while trying to use Office scrubber, appears just after executing. Tried searching where to locate this file to put it but had no luck
YAOCTRIR freezes
Hello,
I use YAOCTRIR to manage the Office installation of an unattended installer for Win 10. I only use the Office part of the YAOCTRIR installer and I couple it with NTLite.
NTLite installs Win 10 and the setup cmd calls YAOCTRIR installer for Office installation.
It launches the Office installation well, but when it reaches around 60%-70%, the installer gets stuck and nothing happens. I waited for 30 minutes and nothing happens. If I close the command window, the install process of Windows is finalized, the PC reboots and everything is fine. Win 10 is correctly installed, and Office too.
So how can I get rid of this freeze ?
