Inter Numeric is a variable font based on Inter, providing a versatile look for number figures.

  • zero: Slashed Zero

  • cv04: Straight Six and Nine
  • cv05: Square Zero, Six and Nine
  • tnum: Tabular Numbers
  • pnum: Propotional Numbers (Default)
  • case: Case-sensitive Form

Roadmap

  • Include some capital letters so that we can use A.M. and P.M.? Maybe?
  • A Width axis? That might be way too much work.

Inter Numeric is still in early stage of development. Start an issue if you find any problems.

Sidenotes

Inter Numeric is actually inspired by iOS/iPadOS/macOS/watchOS lockscreen digital clock's font, SF Soft Numeric. The original font file is located at /System/Library/Fonts/ADTNumeric.ttc. But it is a hidden font, so most Mac apps cannot use it.

File name extension should be ttf not otf

The v1.002.(2024-03-31).release variable file is named InterNumeric[wght,RDNS].otf
But it does have TT outlines and should be .ttf.

Windows 10 does not like otf CFF variable fonts.
So I was a bit wary about this font, and checked it in OTM and FontLab.
It is actually a normal TTF variable font.

To prevent user confusion, and concern, please change the file extension to .ttf.
