Only worked once for the 20 Percent Cooler song by Ken Ashcorp, then stopped working in the same session. Even when I played the same song again no lyrics appeared at all. Checked BeatSinger.ini, everything seems okay. Modprefs file has no mention of Beat Singer.

Currently, the BeatSinger mod does not work with the latest version of BeatSaber.
Please update the mod for compatibility with BeatSaber 1.11.1.

Here's the lyric.json file I was using for Rasputin (Funk Overload) map before the update. I didn't change the json file.
The online music still work. I have yet to try a srt because I never made any of those.

I think its broken for newest update again and I JUST got vr specifically to use this mod in BS because I already had it for PSVR.

If you could update this mod for 1.1.0p1, I would donate a couple coffee/beers to you.

EDIT: I am using Samsung Odyssey+ and when I press Right Thumbstick it takes me to a Steam Overlay. The code in the ini file is 338 and Im not sure what to recode it to, besides trigger, and what the coded number would be too.

Can you add a license to this repository? I was going to update it for Beat Saber 1.11.1 for #17.

I assume you already know v0.11.2 is out and your mod isn't working anymore.. But I just love it so much that I'll go ahead and point it out again to make sure your awesome work can sooner than later be updated.

As for the mod; sadly alot of people have special versions of song with different timestamp than original song to make it more beatsaber compatible. Will there be a way to make a central depositary of the lyrics files or I must try to get most mapmaker to start adding fixed lyric files to their song folder? Because I would love to see more accurate lyrics (timestamp-wise)

There is some issue with rare chars like spanish accents not showing up correctly. It happened when I played this song: https://beatsaver.com/details.php?id=903

Alot of mappers use the Freeek chart naming convention which mean putting the name of the singer/group into the "songSubName" and the mapper name's into the "authorName" chart label instead of the opposite. This result in the lyrics not being found since Welcome to my Life by MoeTheLion isn't a thing...

Since you already have a stop going on when local lyrics are found I assume you could add an easy solution by adding a new search on the to-do list and making it stop whenever the lyrics are found;

1. Search local lyrics.json
2. Search local lyrics.srt
3. Search "songName" by "authorName" online
4. Search "songName" by "songSubName" online

Does this work on Beat Saver 1.17?
It's not listed in mod menu and no indication when playing.
I tried to manually install Song Loader since I think the name in ModAssistant has changed. Song Loader GitHub page said it's in ModAssistant but it isn't listed there.

The plugin uses the built-in FlyingTextSpawner to display lyrics. The problem is, some lyrics are non-ASCII (eg. Korean songs), and therefore are displayed as ????. It would be nice to fix this.

I created an .srt lyric file for one of my songs, as the musixmatch's lyrics were horribly off sync. The lyric file gets found, but no lyrics display.

At first glace this appears similar to #9. However, online lyrics do display, which leads me to suspect that it's the .srt format that isn't being processed properly. There are no relevant logs in the console.

I haven't tried using .json yet as the editor I used didn't support exporting to it.

Right now lyrics are fetched using Musixmatch, but unfortunately this isn't always the best solution. What would be best is to have a very basic online service (or even just REST API) to upload and download lyrics.

mod has been broken a while so I ask: are there any plans to keep it updated or is it abandoned? I really liked this mod

Ever since I switched to version 0.4.2 I haven't seen online lyrics working properly. I've seen often the "Lyrics found online" message only to have not a single lyric displayed all through the song (I've tried various platform to make sure I wasn't hidding them)

I've also had a few song display a line early on to simply keep it displayed for what seemed to be 45-60secs.

Hi,

In the game it says lyrics found locally. However, it does not load it? no matter if its json or srt.
I have also tried to delete the game and re-install it but that didnt work either.
I have tried to change the local region settings to English United states, but that didnt help.

It does work with online lyrics. But i need the offline to work. Any help would be appreciated! 

Does it somehow cache the online lyric, so it can be modified manually?

I'm trying to write my own custom Lyrics files for BeatSinger. I've written a program to help reposition the subtitles so they correctly match up to the audio, but i'm having trouble getting the lyrics to display ingame. I get the "Lyrics found locally" message and no error message, and nothing in the log files that I can see but the lyrics don't turn up. Can you shed some light on where the problem might be.

I've got the lyrics in the song directory and correctly called "lyrics.srt" and this is the test file I'm currently using

Is there any way to use a custom json file for lyrics for a song that came with the game such as POP STARS?

Would like to default to disabled by default

Just wondering if there is any way we could add custom lyrics without using musixmatch
