哦哦，那是不能叫分支，因为branch分支是名词，我觉得fork更像是动词……所以“派生”确实对的，但坚决反对叫“收藏”

因为没有准确的翻译，这个已经是最准确的了，Fork就是派生，根据 Pro Git: 翻译约定 之类的进行翻译的。
而 star 没有准确翻译，几个人讨论都说叫收藏或叫喜欢，但确实不合适。
因为派生才是真正的收藏，而star只是收藏夹之类的功能，用书签更准确，但更加离谱了，所以最终决定叫做“赞”。

国内的一些 git 平台，这几个单词不翻译的。
但是不翻译，很多人不知道什么功能，所以我还是翻译了下。

比如很多新手从来不点 star 都是点 fork，所以我就翻译了，新手一看就知道是赞，而不是派生了。
因为不知道派生是什么，所以他们就不会乱点了。

这个是我后来根据官方翻译改的，一开始我翻译就是收藏，因为没有更贴切的意思了。
branch 是分支，已经占用了，所以还是别叫分支的好。

之前很多翻译我都是直接谷歌翻译的，但是后来大量翻译都根据《Git官方软件包的简体中文翻译》进行的，我也不敢乱来误导大家，只是让新手更加容易上手 github 而已。
高手也没人会用我这个插件啊。
不过还是感谢你提出这个问题。
