0xfirewolf / genericcardreaderfriend Goto Github PK

In a spare computer I built, I put in a random card reader I had laying around (Product ID 0x9360, vendor ID 0x058f (Alcor Micro, Corp.)), it was a USB card reader so I added this kext, set idProduct to 37728, set idVendor to 1423, added it to EFI/OC/Kexts and my config.plist, however System Information still says "This computer doesn't contain any Apple Internal Memory Card Readers.". I'm running macOS 10.12.6 Sierra (16G2136).

I've tested the kext on High Sierra and it works OK for Realtek 0bda0138.

Hi, this issue is pretty similar to 0xFireWolf/RealtekCardReader#8, using GenericCardReaderFriend, System Information recognize the card only when it's plugged in, however, with RealtekCardReader and RealtekCardReaderFriend when I plug my SD card, it times out similar to 0xFireWolf/RealtekCardReader#8, I tried several times to get a log with msgbuf=10485760 and the debug version of the kext, but RealtekCardReader doesn't seem to load on my laptop for some reason, only RealtekCardReader loads, I also tried rtsxdssc=N boot-arg but the results are the same, so instead, I uploaded my EFI and IOReg.
