iOS Artwork

iOS Artwork Extractor extracts all the artwork and emoji symbols contained in iOS into png files.

In order to extract Retina Display @2x high resolution images, choose the Hardware > Device > iPhone 4 menu in the iPhone Simulator.

See instructions on the wiki to extract more artwork.

Set the ARTWORK_DIRECTORY environment variable to control where the png files are saved. If it is not set, the files will be saved into a folder on your desktop.

Glossy Buttons

iOS Artwork Extractor can also generate glossy buttons png files if you are using a simulator running iOS 5.0 or older. Thanks to @schwa for the original code. Three states (normal/highlighted/disabled) glossy buttons png files are saved into the same directory as iOS artwork png files under the UIGlassButton subdirectory.

IPAs

iOS Artwork Extractor also knows how to extract artwork from apps you downloaded from the App Store. It goes without saying that this is for educational purpose only and that you should not steal others' artwork.

Use the MOBILE_APPLICATIONS_DIRECTORY environment variable if your iTunes library is not located in the standard location, i.e. ~/Music/iTunes.

Crashes When Scrolling in iOS 7

On a device with iOS 7, the app will often crash when scrolling the table in the Artwork tab.

Incorrect framework when saving from search

If you search for an image and then save it, it is always saved to the AddressBookUI.framework folder regardless of which framework the image originally came from.

Map directions icon not extracted?

I don't seem to find the car icon used in iOS 6 maps that the user pushes to get driving directions. It's a white car on a two-tone green button with a white border. Any idea why?

Doesn't work with relocated home directories

My home directory is not located at /Users/loginname. The app therefore can't find it :(

Under 10.8.1 the app is unable to create an output folder on desktop.

Emoji are corrupted or cut on top

When exporting emoji using iPad Simulator on iOS 6, images are corrupted or cut on top.
For example, Nature/Bear Face.png and Nature/Bear [email protected] are corrupted, while Nature/Earth Globe Europe-Africa.png and Nature/Earth Globe [email protected] are cut on top.

IPA Not Displayed for iOS 7

After updating to iOS 7, I no longer see an IPA tab on devices or in the simulator.

Let us choose a framework rather than load them all

Takes too long to start and crashes sometimes.

Signal 9: Killed

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.3, 32G

The app will start scanning all the apps but crashes because of low-memory

: Application 'UIKitApplication:ch.pitaya.iOS-Artwork-Extractor[0x1828]' exited abnormally with signal 9: Killed: 9

Running with Instruments shows the app is using 260M. It seems the app is keeping all images in memory?

PS: I have 341 apps on my device, using 16G of disk space (out of 32G).

Thank you for this repo. I learned a lot from the artwork images.
The iOS 6 beta is online today. Is this project compatible with iOS 6? I'm downloading Xcode 4.5.

No artwork is shown in the list when running on the simulator in iOS 4.

@3x icons?

I might be mistaken, but I think the iPhone 6 plus simulator has @3x icons.

Is there a way to get these?

HIG Compatibility

This is a cool project but does the HIG even allow devs to use apple's images in their apps?

Detected an attempt to call a symbol in system libraries that is not present on the iPhone:
open$UNIX2003 called from function APEFindSymbol in image UIKit Artwork Extractor.

Glossy buttons aren't working in iOS 5.1 Simulator

On the iOS 5.1 Simulator, the glossy button is simply not drawn.

I can (and will) take a look at why, but I want to make sure you aren't already trying to fix it.

Missing Mail archive icon

Title says it all. I can't find the icon that sometimes replaces the trash can in the Mail app. Have I missed it, or is it genuinely not displayed or exported by this app? It's the only icon I need :)

iOS 5.1 Crash

App crashes in ArtworkViewController.m:150

hello i can run uikit-artxork but i have screen black in similator and i have'nt error
but i have other app its ok in similator

ipod/music tab bar icons

Is there anyway to grab the ipod/music tab bar icons? I don't see them being detected even on the device.
