Interesting idea. I might add it when editing a tile, because showing a drag triangle on hover might be annoying if shown all the time.

I think the drag triangle could be shown only when hovering over the edges of a tile and not when the cursor is positioned in the middle of the tile, basically similar to the functionality when resizing windows manually. This would simplify the overall tile editing process and make your application even more accessible to non-technical users, something which I think Plasma overall still lacks compared to GNOME (that is not to say that work-flow wise GNOME has its own particular problems).
