There is already a message, but according to grocy programmer

grocy/grocy#2281 (comment)

from grocy_ynh.

Is this still an issue or did PR #61 resolve this?

i don't think so. grocy programmer writes it's an error during installation and if you don't follow the instructions.

If timeout errors are still the problem when trying to upgrade to v4.0.1, it's most likely about what's described in #2297 and there.

no the version 4.0.1 still leads to "502 Bad Gateway".

Come on, I'm investing hours for describing what's the problem as detailed as possible (all and more incl. what maybe to try if you want to have it running now is described in the provided links), but if reading is the problem, I'm really out here - maybe simply stay with v3.3.2 or don't use Grocy in that case.

It's nowhere stated that v4.0.1 fixes every (unknown before) problem. What have you tried/investigated of what's mentioned could be the problem?

@bernd stay cool.
This message post is also to the github team where I installed grocy. (/YunoHost-Apps/grocy_ynh/)
Yunohost is a one click installation platform, so the installation is easy.
Only, when I upgraded from 3.3.2 to 4.0 something did not work. I wanted to write to the package maintainers and tell them that you wrote to follow the steps.

I can not see through the installation what migration difficulties there are and thus get no feedback. I see ONLY that the installation has not caused any problems.

I know that this is your project and it is not easy to locate the problem and help among all the postings and half information.

Sorry, but I didn't mean to drag you into the post, but to point out to the package maintainers.

When the problem is what's described in grocy/grocy#2297, the package maintainers here can't do anything, since it's then just a Grocy problem - the one described there, not a webserver configuration error or whatever.

That's all I wanted to point out but I still think you haven't got that. When the upgrade to both v4.0.0 and v4.0.1 fails, it's more than likely about the circular QU conversion problem described.

You can, even without technical skills, that's why I describe such problems as detailed as possible. It can easily be tracked down by simply deleting all default QU conversions before (as mentioned there, actually no need to repeat all that here). If that make the upgrade work, it's practically also no big thing to recreate the conversions afterwards with the new transitive conversion factors feature.

Feedback if that helped or another reproducible example on how to get that problem can help fixing stuff. If you have no interest in doing/helping anything on your own, that's fine, but not how I (and most likely a lot others) think the Open Source game should work. When having such expectations, a commercial product (with commercial support options for such cases) fits much better I would say.
