Not working in IE8 about textcomplete HOT 8 CLOSED

When I try to activates the completion more than one time it does not work

Is this mean, a dropdown was shown at the first time?

Went thru this, IE8 doesnt really work at all, and throws errors in contenteditable. The issue is the logic for selectionend is wrong and returns undefined, then the following substring command just returns the whole string. I gave up trying to get it working in ie8

I've just tested v0.3.3 in IE8 with a TEXTAREA and it works fine (altough the dropdown positioning is off - I'll add a bug).

@JensGabe Did you test the text selection / replacement logic? The suggestions box pops up, but it doesn't replace the text correctly.

@shawn-simon Just tested again. In a textarea I get proper text completion for IE8 on Windows 7.

I'm not sure whether the bug is fixed, but Microsoft had already stop supporting IE8. So I close the issue. Thanks for the comments though!
