"composer update " takes too much time almost 2 hours .. finally send an error about yii2-app-advanced HOT 7 CLOSED

no, the problem is that the current master of the advanced app requires yii2>=2.0.6 which is not yet released.

As @cebe said, the problem will be resolved with the next release. Till then you can replace yiisoft/yii2: * with ~2.0.5 or a specific commit.

Sir, i did as above but still composer update is taking more than an hour. composer diagnose works perfect . i have installed assets plugin too . here is my json , and composer updating snapshot . please have a look . thanks in advance.

the window on the left shows that composer is installing packages. if that is slow it is most likely caused by your internet connection.
