For comments we need github auth, correct?

I think so. Also need to think about how we convert/reuse current user accounts from yiiframework.com. The users are related to extensions, wikis and comments. So I think login should be possible with github but also as normal user.

Hmm, assets for yii2-auth should be published somehow. Not sure how to do it with grunt/bower. @qiangxue do you have an idea how to solve it?
