I've been using the underscore string utils (classify, camelize, dashify) to solve this at the generator level.
I'd actually like to solve this and issue #82 by having yeoman init (angular|backbone|whatever) take a directory as its first argument, and then prompt for the project name, defaulting to the name of the directory that you made (or cwd).

Proposed solution: replace - with _ (underscore)
I think it would better to camelize it.
