The runner is built against beta 5, and it REQUIRES beta 5 in your code, too. If you're using an older version, it will do this - abort immediately. This is due to versioning changes in the APIs - there's usually an exception thrown with missing method, or so on. Update your xunit2, rebuild and it should all just work.
I've tended to ignore this, as once you're at RTM, it'll all just be fine. But it might be worth revisiting this, to see if I can catch the exception and report it in a more friendly fashion.

Fixed in 9125f66. Now reported with an "info bar" in ReSharper 9. Need to backport to ReSharper 8. Will be released shortly.
