Could you put the MIME type (.zip) into the download URL (currently
it just says http://peterodding.com/code/vim/downloads/session)?
That would make it much easier to integrate it in
Janus without any special
installation scripting. Another solution would be to have the full
content on GitHub. As when I just copy those files (autoload.vim and
session.vim) it doesn't seem to work.

You mean I should add a filename extension right? Adding this
shouldn't do any harm, so sure, I'll change it sometime this week.

Oh yes, I mean the file extension (too much MIME stuff this day ;-)). Thank you.

Hi again,

It took me a week before I got around to changing this (sorry about that!) but my plug-ins (including vim-session) can now be downloaded by their base name or full filename (including extension), this means the following addresses both work:

For the next release of each of my Vim plug-ins I'll change the addresses in the README.md files so that they link to the *.zip names by default (I've noticed in my server logs that some search engines try to follow the links, they'll probably stop doing that once the addresses end in .zip).

By the way, I previously missed this bit:

Another solution would be to have the full content on GitHub. As when I just copy those files (autoload.vim and session.vim) it doesn't seem to work.

You're right that it doesn't work at the moment, I'll probably change this for each of my git repositories so that Pathogen users and other git fans can run the plug-ins straight from a cloned repository. As an experiment I've converted my vim-easytags repository to be Pathogen compatible and it seems to work fine.

Hope this helps,
