Use vim-misc repository, instead of shipping "xolox#misc" itself about vim-session HOT 3 CLOSED

I am using your plugins session and easytags (and the following folder names for it: easytags, session and vim-misc).

When using "vim-misc" as "vim-misc", but "vim-session" as "session" in the bundle folder, the following error is triggered: ...

This sounds like you got the recent plug-in updates that removed the bundling of the vim-misc scripts.

I guess that it is related to easytags using the xolox#misc functions from the session plugin.

But then this shouldn't be happening. There should be only one set of vim-misc scripts: Inside the vim-misc directory.

How do you install your plug-ins? Pathogen/Vundle/etc. imply git which deals with removed files, but if you just extracted the latest ZIP archive, files that were removed from the distributed ZIP archive are not removed from your working directory.

In that case, the fix is simple: Delete the autoload/xolox/misc directory everywhere except in vim-misc.

My mistake: I was using vim-session via the vim-scripts Git repo, which is stuck at 1.4.25.

Thanks for the followup Daniel, and glad to hear you got things sorted out! The vim-scripts repositories can indeed lag behind sometimes (although I love the service it provides -- git and Pathogen are so much nicer than ZIP archives :-).
