Hi @wseemann , I didn't find anything such as good as this lib. But I'm sad to find my self on the same situation. The memory consuption is huge!
Are you planning on more improvements soon?
Thanks.

I just revised the demo application so it will run in the background properly. This will allow me to monitor memory usage. I will test over the next few days and let you know if I can reproduce the issue.

This appears to be fixed, please file another report if you still encounter the memory issue.

Please check this logs.
After 39-40 minutes playing, "on every test" the app is killed.
Using latest build from your repo.

I checked the log. The out of memory error was caused by this line: java.lang.AbstractStringBuilder.enlargeBuffer(AbstractStringBuilder.java:~94).

Hi, thank you.
So the error in thread with the JSON rebounds to the Fatal signal 11?: "I/dalvikvm﹕ [ 09-12 03:07:40.755 25385:25660 E/FFmpegMediaPlayer-JNI ]
failed to attach current thread
09-12 03:07:40.755 25385-25660/com.irr.fm.radio A/libc﹕ Fatal signal 11 (SIGSEGV) at 0x00000000 (code=1), thread 25660 (adia.fm.radio)"

Do I have here to create a new instance of the FFmpegPlayer?
Or how should I handle this Error so it's safe for the player.
Thanks.
