Looks like there are event hooks for on_command and on_command_completion in the async branch

on_command is dispatched into the event loop, not guaranteed to run first (will usually run before the first awaited coroutine in the command?)

Implemented as a monkey patch of Command.invoke.
TODO: clean up all command log strings in cogs
