I don't know, I started some research on this project and then left it as is. Technically I think the first viable path at how this could be done today would be through PostCSS.

- If we knew which bits of HTML were "components"...
- Then for each HTML element within a component...
- Render the component in isolation and note the values of all style properties
- Render the component in place and note the values of all style properties
- Diff the objects created from 3 and 4. For any property set in 4 but not 3, "correct" it by defining an inline style on the element
That's a big hammer that probably has some unwanted effects with inherited properties like color
, but seems like it would work nicely for most headaches.
Of course I haven't a clue of how to actually execute 3 and 4. Perhaps PhantomJS would be a cheap trick?
