Computer Freezes (OSX) about serial HOT 3 CLOSED

I am not able to reproduce it on my machine and I visually inspected the code considering the shutdown of the library and I couldn't come up with any ideas as to why this might happen.

In the past on my older MacBook Pro I can remember having the problem where my keyboard and mouse would stop working while using FTDI devices. I never found a good solution, but it seems that the FTDI devices agitated a bad/failing keyboard and mouse interface (which is also USB internally). I ended up replacing my keyboard component, hopefully that isn't your problem. At the end of the day, there should be nothing I should be able to do from user land code which causes your computer to freeze, so ultimately this will end up being a bug in OS X or a hardware problem. Ideally we would find a way to avoid this bug by changing serial or your use of it, but that is going to be difficult as it will just be trial and error I think to narrow it down.

I figured it was likely to be some other issue, not necessarily an issue
with the library. I'll let you know if I find anything else that might be
relevant, but otherwise feel free to close this :)
