Are you using the last code ?

We had this issue a few months ago, but we changed our draft implementation since.

I downloaded the zip from here two days ago....so I suppose it's the last version. Should I do a checkout instead of downloading the zip?

  • Your node / socket.io version
  • How many times is your Node side event is triggered

from elephant.io.

stevro avatar stevro commented on August 18, 2024

Node.js v0.10.5 (latest)
Socket.io 0.9.11

The event is triggered two times. So I get two alerts.

If it helps, PHP 5.3.10 on Ubuntu Server 12.04

Any tips on where should I be searching for the problem?

Have you tried to run the code in the example dir ?

It is working for me on latest socket.io / PHP 5.4 / OSX

stevro avatar stevro commented on August 18, 2024

The example works. It's just that instead of triggering the event just once, it triggers it twice.

Please note that your current socket.io version is 6 months old. Current version is 0.9.14

That could be a reason. Could you try again with newest version?

Hi....restarting an old issue.

In the meanwhile I managed to update the socket.io to version 0.9.16 and I still have the same problem.

Have you guys encountered this in your applications?

As there are no news of this ticket, and we can't seem to reproduce it, I'm closing this ticket.

Feel free to comment this ticket if this problem occurs once again, and I'll be glad to reopen.
