@alok I agree. We should switch to support python 3+ only. I assume that because a large set of users are in research labs or for research purposes, there isn't really a need to support older projects that use python 2.x

Ummm I see your point. I do however wonder how many potential users will be left out if we switch to 3.6+ only support. Not sure it's worth the hit in adoption (especially at this early stage), simply to have a bit more syntactic sugar.

With all that in mind, I think it's a good idea at this early stage to support the lowest python 3 version.

Fair enough. 3.5 seems a reasonable cutoff since a decent number of libraries only support 3.5+ (like OpenAi gym and maybe PyTorch).

I really wish GitHub had user polls for figuring out things like how many users use a specific python version.
