ReferenceError: LGTV is not defined about lgtv-ip-control HOT 2 CLOSED

I had the same error. Maybe the example code isn't correct, or maybe some javascript doesn't behave the same way everywhere.
But, I got it to work by specifying the module like this:

lg = require('lgtv-ip-control');

const tv = new lg.LGTV('192.168.0.13', 'xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx', 'xxxxxxx');

from lgtv-ip-control.

The package doesn't do anything if installed globally, it needs to be installed in the project's dependencies, and imported correctly:

const LGTV = require('lgtv-ip-control')

const tv = new LGTV('192.168.0.13', 'xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx', 'xxxxxxx');

from lgtv-ip-control.
